Cooper Avenue Market

There has been much talk and excitement over the opening of Cooper Avenue in the iconic Frank Gehry building on 17th street and Pennsylvania Avenue.  Johnny Boy attended a tasting for it at Bardot..and has recently uncovered more information for all you foodies / drunks out there.  I got a sneak peek of Cooper Avenue's interior, and I can say you will definitely want to spend a couple of hours there...Casual Chic is the best phrase to describe the design (sneak peek above).

There will be TWO...yes you heard it...TWO of them opening:  The first one is located on Miami Beach and the second one in MET ONE in Downtown Miami.  Both are over 7,000 square feet of food heaven; bustling restaurants with open kitchens, seafood and sushi counters, lounge bars, open bakeries, pastry shops / delis, coffee shops, corner bars, and gourmet markets (I'm getting a little bit wet just writing this post) 🙂 Imagine Dean & Deluca meets Colette meets Coffee Shop NYC meets Blue Ribbon meets Magnolia Bakery:  a one stop shop for all your needs...God knows Miami Beach needs it. No word yet on the opening of Downtown Miami's.

The food is modern American Style...think comfort food reimagined by young chefs...I'm hoping one of them create a "Traditional Roast Beef Sandwich with Arugula, Sautéed Crimini's, White Pepper, and White Truffled Aioli."  Stay tuned for the MB Cooper Avenue opening around late September / early October (Just in time for Johnny Boy's Bday), you may find ol' Johnny Boy blogging away next to you cause they will offer free wi-fi also.  I hear they will have their own app also for ordering food and reservations.
