I was always slightly obsessed with Andy Warhol and his studio, The Factory. His super cool demeanor, white unkempt hair, and ability to be an open drug addict while still attracting everyone was enthralling. To own a Warhol is like entering a private club of art collectors, a secret society that is full of hush hush words and high quality drugs. Now, about 99% of the worlds population will never be able to be part of this club, but thanks to Campbell's, we will be able to own the most iconic symbol of Warhol: The Tomato Soup Can.
This week, Campbell's released 1.2 million cans (above image) in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation, to honor the 50th anniversary of the exhibition where he first featured the soup-can painting (LA's Feus Gallery) They are only available at Target for just .75 cents. Seriously, run, don't walk to your closest Target and stock up on this once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of history.
I live nowhere near a Target, pick up a few extras if you can!
