Gossip #1: The always chic and 'impossible to get into' Visionaire parties, normally held on the Friday of ABMB, is back again this year, and with a bang. Johnny Boy hears that they have opted to move their Friday night party to Thursday night this year. Not unlike previous years, the bash will be held in one of our newer hotels, and their partner is one of the largest online fashion retailers (Any guesses on where and who?). Of course I wouldn't want to just spill all the surprises in store, but expect the usual fabulousness. I would start cozying up to anyone there to snag an invite to this.
Gossip #2: The super cool team behind Milk Studios is finally coming down this year with a project / exhibition that will be a MUST SEE for ABMB. They have teamed up with Paddle8 and Tumblr to present Moving the Still: A Festival of GIFS. For the exhibition, they have done an international open call for GIF artworks, which will be selected by a council including Michael Stipe, the Rodarte sisters, Ryan Trecartin, RoseLee Goldberg, Nicola Formichetti, Richard Phillips, James Frey and Vinoodh Matadin & Inez van Lamsweerde. Submit your GIFS here. If your one of the lucky chosen, you'll find out on November 26th, and get ready for Basel, as it will be exhibited in a Milk space in Wynwood, complete with a party + dinner.
UPDATE: Prada is no longer doing a big dinner, rather opting to do their store opening in the Design District instead.
A Festival of Gifs sounds fun…will suggest some gifs submissions.
Can’t wait to know where the Milk Place will be at Wynwood…
