Dear Political Parties (emphasis on Republican),

In preparation for the upcoming conventions, both Republican + Democratic, I have penned an open letter to all politicians that we, as a people, have voted into power.  I have come to an understanding of politics in our great nation, and would like to tell you that I will still love you:

I understand when you ridicule and call me hurtful names, I will still love youI understand when you strip me of my basic human rights, I will still love youI understand when you inflict physical pain on me, I will still love youI understand when you prevent me from marrying my partner, I will still love youI understand when you attempt to deport me, I will still love youI understand when you speak in front of "your" people and garner their support by hating me, I will still love youI understand your need to deny me of basic healthcare, I will still love youI will still love you because OUR God taught me to help the weak, teach the ignorant, and support the less fortunate.
